1. The SEPD published its website to make it easy for potential visitors the access to information related with their services. The information shown in this website is left at the free disposal of the users who access the website, both private and individually without additional cost. The data collected by the Spanish Society of Digestive Pathology (SEPD) are obtained in different ways (webpage, email, electronic forms or on paper) via their activity as a business association and service provider; these data will become part of an information file for which they are responsible.

Aim of collecting data:

  • Management of awards for the best publication
  • Subscription to digital bulletins

Legitimacy of treatments:

  • Data obtained with the consent of the interested party as well as the data supplied voluntarily to anyone interested by any means.
  • This will be limited to the scope and length of the contractual relation

Data Recipients.

  • Data should not be transferred to third parties unless required for the provision of the service requested or due to legal obligations.
  • International transfer of data are not contemplated.

Data rights holders:

Everyone can find out if SEPD processes their personal data or not. They have the right to:

  • Access personal data.
  • Request the rectification of inaccurate data, or when applicable, request its suppression when, among other justifications, those data would no longer be needed for the purposes for which the data were collected.
  • In certain circumstances, all interested parties can: (i) request the limitation of their data processing; in that case these will be only kept for the exercise or defense of complaints. SEPD will stop processing data, unless compelling legitimate grounds, the exercise or defense of possible complaints.

Security Measures: SEPD informs that they have taken all safety measures needed to avoid the theft, alteration or not authorized access to data, taking into account the state of art, application costs, the nature, scope, context and purpose of the processing as well as variable probability and gravity risks for the rights and freedoms of individual persons, as in cases of subcontracted services, requesting and ensuring that the person responsible for the treatment apply adequate technical and organizational measures to guarantee an adequate safety level with regard to the existing threats, as is stated in art. 32 of the Data Protection Regulation.

6. Restricted Areas:

With regard to the access of restricted areas where the user voluntarily fills in the registration form, SEPD will assign the user a password which is sent to the email address provided by the user who will make diligent use of it and keep it a secret. As a result, the user admits he is responsible for the adequate custodian and confidentiality of the password/identifier provided by SEPD. Besides, the user commits himself/herself not to provide his/her access to third parties, either temporarily or permanently nor to permit access to third parties.

As a result, the user is solely responsible for all accesses, contents and actions carried out with regard to his/her user identifier and access code, with the complete indemnity of SEPD.

On that basis, the user will be responsible to inform SEPD immediately of any factor which allows the improper use of the identifiers and/or password such the theft, loss or non-authorized access, in order to cancel them immediately. While such incidents are not reported, SEPD is not be liable for any liability which may result from the incorrect use of identifiers or passwords by non-authorized third parties.

The user understands and accepts that they are obtaining access to a website with content aimed exclusively at medical staff and recognize he/she is a health professional.

9. Financing

REED website funding, official scientific body of SEPD, shares the same SEPD funding sources, as is shown in Article 22º, SECTION VII (ECONOMIC AND DOCUMENTARY SYSTEM) of the SEPD statutes.

The website http://www.reed.es will be able to shelter advertising of third parties that might be considered of interest for the user and in no case a source of budgetary financing for the website. Wherever the word "Advertising" is shown, this will be highlighted.

Nevertheless, any advertising that fails to comply with the law 29/2006 with regard to the guarantees and the rational use of drugs and healthcare products will not be accepted. Besides, there will be no publicity of any type of in those areas of the web where there could be a conflict of interest.

The advertisers have no rights regarding their editorial content.

10. License of public use of the website; it is governed by Spanish law, regardless of the country where the user is gaining access. Any disputes which may arise in the interpretation of this access regulation will be resolved before the Spanish Law Courts.
